SARA WINNICK COUNSELING

"...and there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own."

Mary Oliver, The Journey

THERAPY

01 therapy

Each of us carries a story.
It lives beneath the surface -

in how we move through each day,

in the words we offer and the ones we withhold.

In the ways we reach for connection, and the ways we protect ourselves.

In the quiet ache for what was needed, but never received.

In therapy, we begin to trace your story.

We look with care at where you’ve been,

at what life has asked of you,
what you had to learn to survive.

And slowly, as we witness your story with compassion,

another story begins to appear -
one that honors the strength it took to be here,

that remembers who you were beneath all the layers,

and welcomes who you are becoming.

Over time, something softens.
The weight you’ve carried grows lighter.
The pieces of your story begin to gently find their place—
revealing a sturdier, more peaceful version of who you are.
